Tibken Associates was originally founded by Mr. Peter Tibken in Germany andafter successful accomplishment of multiple 5 stars hotels over a period of 20years, Peter found an opportunity to expand his business and experience intoSouth East Asia by setting up companies in both Thailand and Indonesia.
As Project Director of the Thailand office,Jo Chaninahrak successfully steered the company from success to success withunbridled experience in the processing and execution of the supply of all thenecessary goods and services.
Our associate at the Bali office, Mr. James Newbould, has awealth of experience in the design sourcing, production and installation offurniture and hospitality products. He works closely with the designers and thefactories to ensure absolute quality. He enables clients to benefit from manyyears of experience in producing furnishings and art in many differentcountries around Asia and beyond.
Currently being spearheaded by the management team; Peter Tibken, ChristopherJames Newbould and Jo Chaninahrak, Tibken & Co., has over 20 years ofcombined expertise in this industry. Initially educated in Electrical Engineering, Jo became
a Procurement Consultant in the Hospitality in order to take on wider horizons and more challenges. Jo started her career as an Executive Assistant in a 5-star Hotel in
the South of Thailand and later moved to Bangkok to begin her first project as a Procurement Consultant, commencing this with the stunning Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok Team.
After a successful completion of this milestone, multiple projects began rolling in. Jo has been involved in the launch of many luxury branded hotels, having completed projects in several countries outside Thailand including Indonesia, UAE, Laos, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Boutique Hotels are also a part of Tibken & Co., successful project portfolio, including one in Koh Samui, Thailand and Siem Reap, Cambodia. We’ve successfully serviced more than 20 projects around world and are confident to guarantee our reputation as Tibken & Co. to all partners who need dependable Procurement Consultancy.
Peter was educated as a professional hotelier in 1989 after which he worked several years in various positions in the hotel business.
A few years later he received a degree in Hotel Business Economics and specialised in procurement by attending an “International Buying” course at the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply.
Peter founded Tibken Associates in Germany 2003.
The business expanded quickly into the international market with the subsequent opening of offices in Bangkok and Bali.
Peter is a hotel business economist with extensive experience and knowledge of procuring operating supplies and all FF&E for hotel projects worldwide.
